Elder Johnny Tan has retired from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in March 2015, after serving the nation 30 years. In the SAF, he has done project management, training development, as well as commanded battalions and training institutes. Elder Johnny stepped down as the Chairman of the Church Board of Covenant EFC in April 2015 and assumed the appointment of Mission Director in Covenant EFC. In Covenant EFC since 1989, he has served as an officer and captain of the Boys Brigade ministry as well as a worship leader, Covenant Group Leader, Area Overseer and marriage mentor. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Western Australia. He is married to Clara and they have three children.
Felix served as an educator in the Ministry of Education for 16 years. He has held management positions as a Discipline Master and a School Staff Developer during his teaching career with 3 secondary schools in Singapore. Felix graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Canada in 1996.
As a Physical Education Teacher, Felix loves to interact with the students in his school by inculcating values through the appreciation of sports and games. He believes that our youth of today are full of potential. They are in need of a mentor to speak words of inspiration and affirmation into their lives.
In Covenant EFC since 1997, Felix serves as a Zone Mentor to Cell Groups as well as being a Host Master for the Sunday Service Teams for their Worship Services. He is married to Pastor Sharon Fong and has 2 boys, Caleb and Joshua.
PK is the Head of Human Resources and Training. He reports to the Executive Director and is in a member of the Executive Director's Office (EDO), the Senior Management Team of New Life. PK Low was an HR practioner with 30 years of corporate experience in various MNCs such as Seagate Technology, Western Digital and Hitachi Consumer.Prior to joining New Life, PK was the Vice President of HR for Celestica, Asia.He is married and has three grown-up children. He is a member of Church of the Good Shepherd.
Ser Lian is the Director of Children Services. She reports to the Executive Director and is in a member of the Executive Director's Office (EDO), the Senior Management Team of New Life.Ser Lian's passion has always been for children. She has dedicated over 30 years to the teaching profession, holding appointments of Subject Head, Senior Teacher and Head of Department. It has been most fulfilling and a positive journey for her. Ser Lian heard God's call for full-time ministry work at this season of her life and has come on staff with New Life Community Services in January 2015. Her heart continues to be focused on the nurturing work with children because she believes that we should: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).Ser Lian is happily married to Rev William Wong for 29 years and they have three wonderful sons; Zechy, Zephy and Zebedee. They worship at Covenant Evangelical Free Church.
Bee Leng is the Director of Youth, Casework and Counselling. She reports to the Executive Director and is in a member of the Executive Director's Office (EDO), the Senior Management Team of New Life.At the age of 19, she started leading youths at City Harvest Church. It was until she volunteered with Singapore Prison Services 2 years after that, that she felt the call to reach out to the captives and the brokenhearted in Luke 4:18–19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Bee Leng is a registered Social Worker with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) and has 11 years of field experience working with vulnerable children, youth-at-risk and their families. She is a recipient of the Leadership Development Programme 2014 under NCSS.Prior to joining New Life Community Services, Bee Leng had 9 years of experience working with youth offenders and families from the Singapore Boys’ Home and Singapore Girls’ Home under the Ministry of Social and Family Development, followed by a concurrent adjunct lecturing role at Nanyang Polytechnic and a case manager at The Turning Point.
